Day 1:

  • Arrival at Kotoka International Airport in Accra.

  • Transfer to hotel and check-in - The African Regent Hotel

  • Welcome dinner at hotel - overview briefing on the tour’s schedule and objectives.

  • Evening visit to the Sky Bar - Accra’s highest point for a city view

Day 2:

  • Guided tour of in Accra including Independence Square, Arts & Craft Centre, Du Bois Centre.

  • Visit to a beach resort

Day 3:

  • GhanaCards and opening bank accounts for those eligible

  • A visit to Ghana Investment Promotion Centre to discuss specifically how the diaspora can invest and do business in Ghana.

  • Workshop with a lawyer and accountant on practicalities of setting up a business in Ghana for small businesses and entrepreneurs

Day 4:

  • Transfer from Accra to Cape Coast Arrive 1pm.

  • Check into accommodation, light lunch

  • Visit Cape Coast Castle with an expert guide to explore its historical significance.

  • Visit the Arts & Craft area and stroll down to a beach resort for a delicious "Welcome to Cape Coast" meal.

Day 5:

  • Visit a thriving startup incubator or innovation hub in Accra.

  • Free time to gather thoughts

  • Visit to Assin Manso - the Last Bath "Slave River"

  • Dinner followed by a Q&A session with local investors.

Day 7:

  • Deep Dive into Local Community engagement

  • Naming ceremony.

  • Engaging with the work of Friends of Asebu PA

Day 8:

  • Agriculture day - visit to a local farm

  • Discussion on agriculture and agribusiness opportunities in the area

Day 9:

  • Return to Accra by 1pm

  • One-on-one business sessions between tour participants and local business mentors. (extra cost)

  • Final networking dinner and group debrief to consolidate key takeaways.

Day 10:

  • Wrap-Up & Departure

  • Final shopping day

  • Transfer to Kotoka International Airport in Accra for departure.
